About Deborah Witzburg
Deborah Witzburg currently serves as Inspector General for the City of Chicago. Deborah was formerly the Deputy Inspector General for Public Safety. She has served in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) as an Assistant Inspector General, Chief Investigator for Public Safety, and Associate General Counsel for Public Safety. Witzburg previously served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted a wide range of misdemeanor and felony cases and was assigned to the State’s Attorney’s Community Justice Center. Witzburg earned a BA in Anthropology from Brown University and a JD from Northwestern University School of Law.
